PLACEMENT POLICY
1. Objectives:
👉 To establish a clear and transparent placement process that ensures fair opportunities for all eligible students and meets the needs of recruiting organizations.
2. Scope:
👉This policy applies to all final-year undergraduate engineering students of the college.
3. Eligibility Criteria:
👉 Students must have completed all academic requirements up to the pre-final year.
👉 Minimum CGPA/Percentage requirement as per specified by the recruiting company.
👉 No standing arrears at the time of placement process commencement.
👉 Students must have attended the mandatory pre-placement training sessions.
4. Registration Process:
👉Interested students must register with the Placement Office by filling out the Placement Registration Form.
👉 Students must submit an updated resume, approved by the Placement Office.
👉 Registration implies consent to abide by the placement rules and regulations.
5. Pre-Placement Training:
👉 The college will conduct training sessions on resume writing, interview skills, group discussions, and aptitude tests.
👉 Attendance in these sessions is compulsory for all registered students.
6. Placement Process:
👉 Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs): Companies will conduct PPTs to provide information about their organization and job roles.
👉 Application Submission: Students apply to companies based on their interest and eligibility.
👉 Shortlisting: Companies will shortlist candidates based on resumes and academic performance.
👉 Selection Rounds: May include written tests, group discussions, technical interviews, and HR interviews.
👉 Offer Letters: Students will receive offer letters from companies they are selected by.
7. Placement Policy Guidelines:
👉 One Offer Policy: A student will be considered placed if they receive one offer. They will not be allowed to participate in further placement activities.
👉 Dream Job Option: Students with offers can apply for "dream companies" once. This option is available only for companies offering significantly higher salary packages or roles of strategic importance.
👉 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs): Students with PPOs must inform the Placement Office. Acceptance of a PPO means the student is considered placed.
8. Conduct and Discipline:
👉 Students must maintain professional behaviour during the entire placement process.
👉 Absenteeism without prior notice will lead to disciplinary action.
👉 Students must inform the Placement Office if they wish to withdraw from a selection process they had initially opted for.
9. Grievances and Appeals:
👉 Any grievances related to the placement process must be reported to the Placement Office in writing.
👉 The Placement Committee will address and resolve grievances within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Amendments to Policy:
👉 The Placement Office reserves the right to modify any part of this policy as deemed necessary.
👉Any changes will be communicated to the students in advance.
